Merry Christmas Eve my little chickens! I have awoken to a lovely spring weathered day in my husband’s hometown of Kingston this morning, so it ain’t looking much like Christmas, but my bloated ham/turkey belly, is confirming that baby Jesus’ B-day is in fact right around the corner. It may only be the 24th but we have already survived 3 holiday parties and their festive feasts, so me and stuffing are a little too well acquainted by now. Three down one to go! We will be flying off the Miami in the wee hours tomorrow morning to have ourselves a merry little Christmas with my parentals, and I couldn’t be more excited. If i’m not gonna be getting any festive snow here, festive sand will definitely more then make up or it! These photos were shot during our last visit to the sunshine state, where I proudly wore my new Joolz nameplate necklace as the newest addition to their Joolistas club! From Starbucks barista, to new acquaintances, telling any non-francophone my name has always been a daunting task, so this new shiny tool will come in handy for more then simple accessorizing! Now tis time I bid you adieu. Wishing you all health, happiness, and wonderfilled memories on this festive occasion, now I must prepare my stomach for the incoming turkey coming my way…laters bikini bod, was nice knowin’ ya!

I am tired. Had a fun night, that led to a painful morning, which was meant to be cured by coffee, but instead is making my brain pulsate and my limbs do the delirium tremor dance. I actually asked my husband to write this for me as some kind of funny feature post titled, “my wife was too tired to write this” but decided otherwise…because he declined the offer. So here I am, doing a write up about a wonderful event while in an awful state of mind. A few weeks ago Montreal had the official opening of Iro’s first Canadian boutique, and we were lucky enough to be in attendance. It felt like we were transported back to NYFW with the quantity and caliber of media in attendance, and even an appearance from my fave national treasure, Coco Rocha. The champagne and macarons didn’t suck either. Add a little philanthropic auction (which they did) and we’ve got ourselves a party. It was great catching up with our favourite local bloggers, mingling with buddies, old and new, and meeting the lovely Iro team. The night also got me hooked to their linen tees, which I have since returned to purchase more of…twice. All in all, twas a grand ole time. My name is Claude-Alicia and I am now an Iroholic.
When you look back at photos an realize how fucking wrinkled your shirt was

Happy Balmain day everyone! I hope none of you suffered frostbite after a long night on the streets waiting in line for this collection, but if you did, it better have been worth the wait and you now own every item on your wish list. Primal instincts really kick in when fighting over an embellished blazer, let me tell ya’…but let’s remember, owning a garment is not worth the assault charges that can follow Balmain induced cat fights and hair pulling. I was so grateful to have the chance to shop the annual collaboration early again this year, as I started coveting this collection as soon as it was announced! Olivier has really brought the Balmain brand forth for a whole new generation, not only with this collaboration, but with the #BalmainNation movement he brilliantly spearheaded over the past year. Well there’s that, and the fact he makes the most badass embellished garments a girl could ever dream of wearing. Unfortunately even with all the odds in my favour I wasn’t able to get my hands on the velvet blazer and dress I obsessed about when the collection was released. As you can see my heartbreak was short lived, and I came out of the event with a smile, and far from empty handed. From a classic double breasted cream blazer to Beetlejuice inspired matching separates to the now iconic green sequin “Kendall” dress, I am so happy to add pieces of H&M collab history to my little collection. That being said, let’s remember to be kind to one another, even in these competitive shopping environments, and know that no matter how beautiful the piece may be, it’s only clothing…. really fucking cool clothing.
Balmain x H&M dress and shoes, Balmain earrings, and Cartier bracelets
San Francisco, California
CC enthusiasts I present to you…NEW FONT! Oh my goodness, how thrilling. Finally readers will be able to decipher my many rants without the “scream-like” tone, our old capitalized font implied. As for the post, this was our last morning in beautiful San Fran and wasn’t meant to be an #OOTD occasion at all, until I ran into this wall while grabbing coffee. No I didn’t literally run into it you sillies, but I understand why you assumed I could have. Simply had to take a couple pictures of this tiger vs. shark battle. As for the clothes, this was my 5 hour drive road dog outfit, hope you enjoy.
Apparently hard for me to give good face that day
