Being able to collaborate with brands you’ve admired and worn through your pre-blogging life is kinda the best part of the job. When I was a young 17 year old lass interning in New York City, I spent an awful lot of time and money at my neighbours place in the Meat Packing District. As you probably have guessed from the not so illusive title of this post, my so called “neighbour” was the Catherine Malandrino store. So when we got a call to cook up something special with this beloved brand, you could say I was kind of excited or whatever.
Last week I had the immense pleasure of previewing Catherine Malandrino’s new jewelry line, created by renowned international jewellers, Delmar. These statement pieces, feature jem stones like black agate, guava quartz, and a touch of diamonds, because god knows those never hurt. I also had the privilege of styling #OOTD’s around my favourite pieces, and pulling from the Malandrino archives from the beautiful and newly rebranded Kast boutique in Montreal. Not a bad day of work if I do say so myself. I fell in love with every piece, from my favourite aquamarine bracelet to CM’s iconic flag dress, and hope you will too! If you don’t…well, you got some deeper seeded issues I simply don’t understand.
It’s a three for one this week
Look 1 – Nasty Gal hat, Ray Ban “Timeless Rounds,” Catherine Malandrino jacket, and jumpsuit from Kast Boutique, and jewelry from Delmar International, Mansur Gavriel bucket bad, and Balmain boots. Look 2 – Gucci sunglasses, Catherine Malandrino dress and jewelry, Chanel “Boybag,” and Saint-Laurent boots. Look 3 -Tom Ford sunglasses, Catherine Malandrino dress and jewelry, We Wore What x Marieclaire St John neckerchief, Loewe elephant bag, and Chanel boots.
Have you ever been in an awfully shitty mood for an extended period of time? You see, this past week I hadn’t been getting much sleep due to, get ready for it…night terrors. That’s right kids, my 24 year old ass reverted to childhood in all the worst ways, as I had nightmares that made me claw at my chest and experience paranoia that may or may not have caused hallucinations. I shit you not, I am that crazy. I also might actually believe in ghosts now, but perhaps I’ll save that serving of insanity for another post. Anyways, lack of sleep for a prolonged period of time made me unbelievably irritable. I’m talking, Queen Of Hearts “off with their heads!” irritable. I had my husband and parents living in fear of every word they spoke to me, which wasn’t as entertaining at the time, as the thought is now.
Also my lack of zzz’s caused a little side dish of depression, which gave me a chance to catch up on a bunch of TV shows I forgot I gave a shit about. Did you know America’s Next Top model had a cycle 22, and a hot deaf guy won! I do, because I spent the past 2 days locked in my room in the same set of pyjamas, watching Miss Tyra dramatically render that elimination speech oh so intensely and slowly. Seriously, pretty certain I could recite that spiel identically, intonation, dramatic pauses and all. Though not sure how proud I should be of my newly acquired talent, as after 22 seasons of this reality, I’m pretty sure all of us have that impression down pat. All this nonsense to tell you that my insomnia has a happy ending, as I have just awoken from a glorious night of deep dreamless sleep! Life is full of hardships that make you grateful for the little things you may have taken for granted kids. So when you lay your down head on your pillow tonight, don’t forget to thank heavens for the glorious mind that is Tyra Banks, and the gift that is ANTM…”Wanna be on top”?!
When your rant is completely unrelated to the #OOTD photos you posted…

Happy Saint-Patrick’s day everyone! May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light, may good luck pursue you each morning and night…and beer, I wish you great beer. Today, being one of my favourite holidays, I thought what better way to celebrate then to share our adventures in the Emerald Isle itself. Last summer we had the great pleasure, of visiting Ireland to celebrate my 24th birthday, and it may have been one of our greatest trips yet. Our mothers in tow, we spent a week driving all around the island of Ireland from south to north, and saw sights (and pubs), experienced the culture (and pubs), and made memories that have a good chance of lasting a lifetime (except the ones we made in pubs). The luck of the Irish followed us from Dublin, to Belfast, and we truly had a magical time…and many pints of Guinness as well. Along the way we snapped a couple #OOTDs that remained unpublished until now. I thought what better time then to share them with you now, as well as a few pictures from our road trip to remember. Also on this special holiday I thought I’d leave you with a few words of wisdom… You can’t drink all day if you don’t start in the morning…
They’re in order…you’ll figure it out…

Bal Harbour Shops, Florida
To celebrate Bal Harbour Shops’ 50th anniversary and The Miami Project’s 30th anniversary we had the great pleasure of attending Destination Fashion 2016 benefiting The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis. Approximately 12,500 new traumatic spinal cord injuries occur each year in the USA, from motor vehicle crashes, to acts in violence and this wonderful evening raised millions for paralysis research in one night alone! Fair to say we couldn’t have been more proud to be in attendance, and witness this incredible philanthropic achievement.
Not only was the event in support of a great cause, but it did so in BA-NA-NAS fashion. Treating more than 2000 of its friends and supporters to a star-studded extravaganza highlighted by a concert by my favourite Miami native Pitbull himself, and a fashion show for Brunello Cucinelli’s Spring 2016 Collection, it truly was a night to remember. We traveled through the progressive party that showcased the fashion trends, movies, television and entertainment through the Decades-60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. Also, If you know my husband and I at all, you can imagine that the themed fair from cocktails at Studio 54, to Willy Wonka’s candy bar were kindof a hit with us.
Being a very special occasion I figured I would pull out a dress that I had been saving for long enough it’s kinda considered vintage by now. This little Tom Ford number finally got a chance to go out, and though she was a little warm, she had a great time dancing her sequins off to Mr. Worldwide, if I do say so myself. All in all this night felt like a dream, and we had un unbelievable time celebrating a great cause.
It went down, I might even have yelled timber…
Deux Lions choker, Tom Ford dress, Chanel bag, and Manolo Blank “Chaos” sandals.
