I hope all of you had happy holidays, and weigh 6-9 pounds more then you did before the this turkey season began! Not because I wish ill upon any of you, but rather because if I put on the weight, I need you all to do the same to continue the illusion that nothing has changed…you feel me? I’m only trying to maintain the balance of mankind, pretty serious business. So, post family fun, gifts, and Christmas carols, my husband and I began a pretty intense journey. You see we revistied the world of middle earth, and began with Bilbo’s very first adventure, or if we are talking timeline, I mean history goes back to when the elves first awakened in Cuiviéne! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, really, don’t bother continuing on, because I am about to rock out with my nerd out. I am big on the whole Tolken universe, what can I say, I love me some courageous hobbits. We have been watching the Hobbit films followed by The Lord of The Rings films in chronological order, while trying to get some reading of the source material when a screen is out of reach. We also made time to watch Peter Jackson’s appendices for each film of course! Have I mentioned individual appendices are 4-5 hours long and there are two for each of the six films. Do the math…basically I’ve been staring at Orlando Bloom in a wig for five days straight without sleeping. I’m a little brainwashed to say the least. The few people I have seen since beginning this marathon, I cannot help but attribute to a kind from Middle-earth. My daddy is a hobbit, while my husband who was originally a man, is beginning to resemble a dwarf due to the extreme ginge facial hair he’s been growing. Kinda feel like I’ve been spending a little too much time in Mirkwood if you know what I mean…of course you don’t, you have a life.
I’m totes an Elf with like Galadriel level power..or a Wizard, I’m down to be a Wizard

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa to all! Simply wanted to extend some seasons greetings to all the festive mothafuckas’ out there, and wish you a day full of family fun, love, binge eating, and laughter. Santa Claus came to visit our little family last night and we it truly was a merry little Christmas for my parents, husband, and I. It had been four years since I had the opportunity to spend the day with my family, and being all together in our snowy/rainy country home was honestly the happiest and most magically festive night I’ve had on the eve of baby Jesus’ b-day. Now, today we BAKE! My husband and I decided that the best way to spend Xmas Day would be making oozy cookies full of good stuff, and playing the new violent video games I unwrapped last night. The guy knows me too well…Enjoy this time with loved ones, and “Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night…”

After our wedding and a beautiful honeymoon, it was finally time to get back to reality. It had been forever since I’ve had an #OOTD post in Montreal, and Peter and I feel so incredibly lucky to have had the travel opportunities we’ve had this year. It has been absolutely insane! My good friend Ashley Rosenberger, had started her own PR and event management appropriately named Rose PR, and finally being in the city we were able to attend one of her events, which happened to be right around the corner from our home! The photos were captured on our walk over. We headed to Taverne Royal Merchant, and absolutely loved the homey pub/Tortuga-esque atmosphere, and the comfort food even more. Seriously, I believe I tried everything they had, and could have gone for seconds. Hashtag fat foodie problems? The ice cold Bierbrier on tap didn’t help my food baby either. I am one of the few girls I know that would prefer to drink beer over any other form of booze, so you can imagine my continuing struggle with beer gut syndrome. Anyways, it was a great, and everything kicked butt, you go Glen Coco!..or you go Rose PR, Taverne Royal Merchant, and Bierbrier! Glen Coco truly has a better ring to it…Speaking of delicious food, the 6th annual Oysterfest starts tomorrow, September 6-7th at Terrace Bonsecour and it promises to be loads of mollusk fun! Being an Oyster lover myself, 14,000 of them, sounds right up my street! Let the shucking festivities begin!
