Happy April’s Fools my little chickens! Though the title of this post may incite that I have some sort of practical joke to play on you my lovely readers, that is not the case. We are back in Montreal after our flight landed at midnight last night from Miami, and about to set sail on a six hour drive to Toronto, so this baby “holiday” kinda went unnoticed in the midst of all the travel hoopla. I do however have that same long ass drive alone to devise a master plan to fuck with my loved ones. Fake pregnancy is always a good one! Credible, but not super original. Flaming bag of shit on your doorstep? Too far, too far. Guess I’ll have to go with a classic. Saran Wrap on toilet seat…man I’m disappointed in myself. Having hardcore pranking inclinations as a child, I seem to have lost my touch over the years. Not to worry though. Google will come and save the day, as I’ll most likely plagiarize a devious plan on the interwebs. Or maybe I’ll just convince my buddies to go see Batman v. Superman, and tell them how great it was. That’s ten dollars and two and a half hours they’ll never see again. Are you devoting more brainpower than you’d care to admit on a potential hoax to traumatize your friends and family? If so, please do not hesitate to contact me, I’m taking suggestions.

Something extremely cool happened to us at the blog last week. We got nominated for a Notable Award for Conscience Coupable, and as someone who has never been nominated let alone won anything, it feels really special. Though it may just be an external award, seeing that you guys care enough to vote for our little labour of love, makes me feel very seen, heard and most importantly understood, which is pretty awesome. All this thanks your support over these two short years! Thank you reading my ridiculous rants, for scrolling through our bajillion images, and for going along on our adventures with us, you have made our lives more colourful then we ever thought they could be. Thanks to you guys, I get to do what I love, and be recognized for my work, which is absolutely insane. Anyway, I think you i’ve bored you with my gratefulness, nonetheless…THANK YOU! If you want to see CC win this 2015 Notable Award, feel free to take a literal second of your time and click here to vote for us in the Blog category in the Quebec section!..and if you’re feeling extra crazy supportive, you can do so once a day until the 28th of January! Who knows maybe we have a shot at winning this thing! I promise I will drop the gushy cheesiness and go back to making jokes and swearing next week, but until then…I truly love and appreciate every single one of you. No but like I really I do.

Beverly Hills, California
I’ve been talking for a long time about posts from past trips that never made it onto the site. Well here is my first! Back in September Peter and I, headed to LA to run the Disneyland Half Marathon, and to earn our Coast to Coast medals. This is done by running races in both Walt Disney World Florida, and Disneyland California in the same calendar year, and I wanted it real bad. So bad that I was willing to get my ass on a treadmill and train for not one, but TWO motherfucking half marathons. Guess all the cussing and running paid off, because we earned our best half time yet, so I felt pretty cool. Since then I’ve been rather sedentary, and by that I mean I literally only get off my bottom if food is part of the deal. I’ve always had awful self-control and discipline and can’t diet for shit, therefore as much as I hate the pressure, those races keep my ass in check. That being said I started something very unlike me this week and it is somehow going surprisingly well. I am on day four of the Master Cleanse, and have not died of hunger or come close to quitting yet. If you didn’t know the Master Cleanse or Lemonade Diet is a 10 day regime, where you rid your body of toxins by only consuming a drink consisting of water, lemon, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper. From chicken nuggets dipped in gravy and fries to juice for 10 fucking days…can’t believe I haven’t attempted to eat my own hand yet. Feeling pretty badass right about now. Anywhoo these photos were taken back in Beverly Hills a few days before we went to Anaheim to run the marathon. Hope you enjoy this first little #TBT and that I don’t got full cannibal by the end of the week! Pray for me.

New York, New York
Finally the last #OOTD from New York Fashion Week! Did I mention I was sorry for how delayed some of these posts have been? You see I do this miserable thing called higher education, and well…it’s just not as flexible as a girl would like. This week has been manic to say the least, but somehow two midterms, a group project, and an assignment later I’m still somewhat cognitively able. I don’t think my concentration face had ever had as much screen time as it did this week, but now I am somewhat free from formal thinking activities so I’m glad to be retiring it for a while. It’s not real cute anyway. It’s always darkest before the dawn seems to be more accurate then most poetic metaphors, as I have so much to look forward to now that my stressful week has passed. Cool meetings, fun events, re-watching the Star Wars saga to prepare for “The Force Awakens” oh and did I mention were heading to Disney World for Halloween next week? Ya…my post darkness dawn is looking pretty fucking beautiful, am I right? Well, it is for my geeky self anyways.
Also I’m going to somewhat of a high school reunion tonight, so my feeling incredibly old kicked in pretty hard this morning. Adele really gets where I’m at in my life right now. It’s like the woman waited for me to have a mini crisis to release her song, and give me this epiphany. Here at 24, somewhere between an old adolescent and a full-fledged grown up, I miss everything about my younger years, but simply because they will never happen again. If you have no idea what I’m talking, about you should read this. Fucking Adele right? So here it is my little chickens, the last one from NYFW! Hope the rest of your weekend consists of Netflix and chill and…what else do you kids do for fun these days?
