Beverly Hills, California

Hello my little chickens! After all this YouTube content we’ve been uploading, it almost slipped my mind to share this understated #OOTD this week! Firstly, I wanted to thank you all for all the wonderful support and love you’ve shown for our new channel! We’ve had so much fun producing content for it, and hearing all your positive feedback has made it all worth while. I enjoy sharing more of myself with you guys in a medium other than the written word, and pouty pictures, and am so happy you like watching it as well.

After 2 months of traveling we finally returned from the last leg of our trip in Los Angeles and couldn’t be happier to be home. Well I was before I looked at these sunny Los Angeles photos anyway. Let’s just say Mr. Sun isn’t too eager to show off his winter bod over here in Canadialand. That being said it is a lovely change of scenery, and I am welcoming the snow with open arms…well not literally, because…well you know. I felt like I had so much to say how did this post turn into a conversation about weather. I should be ashamed of myself.

During our stay in LA we had the pleasure of staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and it truly was a PLEASURE. Everything from the service, to the decor, made me feel all kinds of special, and turns out living in a pink, banana leaf wonderland agrees with me more than I would have thought. Also there’s the fact that they leave you cookies at turndown service, so they won me over rather easily. We shot this #OOTD in the hotel’s gardens, which resemble what Lisa Vanderpump imagines heaven to be like. I hope you guys enjoy, and don’t forget to check out my first ever haul of all the goodies I brought back from L.A. on our channel!

Zebra print, elephant bags, safari vests, OH MY.

Balenciaga dad hat, Ray Ban sunnies, Balmain cargo vest, Kenzo X H&M maxi dress, Loewe elephant bag, and Celine flats.

Edge of Seventeen

See what I did there…with the title. So clever I know. On the last day of possibly the worst year the 2000s had ever seen, I look back fondly on the less shitty times the big sixteen had to offer. My parents got engaged and married after 35 years together, we traveled Europe as a family for the first time in years, we visited Disney theme parks so many times we’ve lost count, my beautiful goddaughter was born, we launched WERKS, collaborated with amazing brands and met designers I admire greatly, oh and we started our YouTube channel, so that’s pretty cool. On a personal level I guess this year wasn’t as bad as all the kids are saying these days. That Dan Scott from One Tree Hill meme is still going to make me laugh though. I wish you all a beautiful last day on 2016, and look forward to all the blessing 2017 has to offer. We made it through one literal hell of a year…so it can only get better from here right?

Adele Like Really Gets Me

2015-09-11 at 11-39-59 New York, New York

Finally the last #OOTD from New York Fashion Week! Did I mention I was sorry for how delayed some of these posts have been? You see I do this miserable thing called higher education, and well…it’s just not as flexible as a girl would like. This week has been manic to say the least, but somehow two midterms, a group project, and an assignment later I’m still somewhat cognitively able. I don’t think my concentration face had ever had as much screen time as it did this week, but now I am somewhat free from formal thinking activities so I’m glad to be retiring it for a while. It’s not real cute anyway. It’s always darkest before the dawn seems to be more accurate then most poetic metaphors, as I have so much to look forward to now that my stressful week has passed. Cool meetings, fun events, re-watching the Star Wars saga to prepare for “The Force Awakens” oh and did I mention were heading to Disney World for Halloween next week? Ya…my post darkness dawn is looking pretty fucking beautiful, am I right? Well, it is for my geeky self anyways.

Also I’m going to somewhat of a high school reunion tonight, so my feeling incredibly old kicked in pretty hard this morning. Adele really gets where I’m at in my life right now. It’s like the woman waited for me to have a mini crisis to release her song, and give me this epiphany. Here at 24, somewhere between an old adolescent and a full-fledged grown up, I miss everything about my younger years, but simply because they will never happen again. If you have no idea what I’m talking, about you should read this. Fucking Adele right? So here it is my little chickens, the last one from NYFW! Hope the rest of your weekend consists of Netflix and chill and…what else do you kids do for fun these days? 2015-09-11 at 11-33-03 2015-09-11 at 11-34-53 2015-09-11 at 11-32-47 2015-09-11 at 11-33-47 2015-09-11 at 11-36-37 2015-09-11 at 11-36-00 2015-09-11 at 11-33-50 2015-09-11 at 11-36-55 2015-09-11 at 11-34-35 2015-09-11 at 11-33-05 2015-09-11 at 11-38-25 2015-09-11 at 11-39-37 HELLO FROM THE OTHER SIDE

You already heard my love of Kenzo rant a couple days ago so i’ll try to keep it short today. The famjam and I headed to Miami’s design district for delish pizza from Harry’s (best in the city if you ask me), take a peak at some Andy Warhol sketches and famous shots of the icon at the Kiwi Arts Group Gallery, and checked out some of the Big Foot sculptures in Idan Zareski‘s Art Garden that were still standing after Art Basel. Unfortunately we were not able to attend the weeks events this year, so this was a nice belated celebration. We even got some shots with Bambi‘s Elvis/Granny street art. How cultured of me I know. Oh I also wore my Flying Tiger dress. Roar. _MG_3913 _MG_3886 _MG_3880 _MG_3943 _MG_3879 _MG_3927 _MG_3956 _MG_3972 _MG_3973 _MG_3909 _MG_3960 _MG_3969 _MG_3952 I’ve Got the Eye of the Tiger
