The time has come for our Eurotrip rewind to commence! I am so excited to be sharing all of our adventures with you over the coming weeks and Rome feels like a pretty spectacular place to start. We arrived in the eternal city, jet lagged and hungry, but resolved those problems impressively quickly. Looking back at our four days in rome, yes, I think of finally setting my eyes upon the Sistine Chapel after staying up all night due to jet lag, and strolling past the Spanish steps shopping around Via Condotti, but what particularly stands out is the food. The incredible, scrumptious, cream and carb filled food. Shocker, I know.
Any chance that presented itself to feast on fresh pasta with cream sauce we took, even if it meant ingesting five rather large meals a day. The words Cacio E Pepe and Carbonara, still incite some kind of unwarranted anticipation even writing them now. I mean the pizza, and fried everything didn’t hurt either, but nowhere in Italy, or in all of my life for that matter, did I try those dishes as poignantly mastered as in Roma.
I also had a bit of a love affair with the Roman Jewish cuisine, but I’m not sure I should talk about how eating Carciofi all Giudia made me want to convert and move to Italy. My lord and saviour Jesus Christ wouldn’t like that. Moving on… Here is a little #OOTD from my parentals’ room which features and obnoxiously spectacular view of of the Spanish Steps. These images were shot moments before heading off to another kamikaze binge eating session. I’ve used these words before without truly meaning them, but after my time in Rome I can honestly say, all I care about in life is pasta and like three people…
Pasta…a great way to fill out any article of clothing.

We are back! After a little European sabbatical it feels so nice to return to you and have so much sick shit to share in the coming weeks. We shot my favourite #OOTDs in all of our favourite cities from Paris, to Capri, to Amsterdam and I can’t wait to throw all that content on the blog, and rant about how much I ate. Something feels strange about being back though I must admit. I hate resorting to talking about the weather, but when did September happen and when did Summer kinda start ending? I feel like we spent all those good sunny months in front of our computer screens and aside from the miraculous weeks across the pond, summer vacay didn’t feel very vacationy at all. As someone who calls Canadialand her home I cherish those 3-4 months where the sun gods are in our favour…because let’s face it, in our native Canada, Winter is ALWAYS coming. So here is my pitch finish reading this, check out the cool pictures, from that time I sweat a lot before an amazing Grey Goose event, and wore a awesome boho power suit, but then go play outside! We got to take what we can get kids, and September is all we got left, so take it all in. I leave you with this jem of a song from the mid 2000s, by the only man that has ever been sad enough to sit cross legged. Love you my little chickens, so happy to be back.

Bal Harbour Shops, Florida
To celebrate Bal Harbour Shops’ 50th anniversary and The Miami Project’s 30th anniversary we had the great pleasure of attending Destination Fashion 2016 benefiting The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis. Approximately 12,500 new traumatic spinal cord injuries occur each year in the USA, from motor vehicle crashes, to acts in violence and this wonderful evening raised millions for paralysis research in one night alone! Fair to say we couldn’t have been more proud to be in attendance, and witness this incredible philanthropic achievement.
Not only was the event in support of a great cause, but it did so in BA-NA-NAS fashion. Treating more than 2000 of its friends and supporters to a star-studded extravaganza highlighted by a concert by my favourite Miami native Pitbull himself, and a fashion show for Brunello Cucinelli’s Spring 2016 Collection, it truly was a night to remember. We traveled through the progressive party that showcased the fashion trends, movies, television and entertainment through the Decades-60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. Also, If you know my husband and I at all, you can imagine that the themed fair from cocktails at Studio 54, to Willy Wonka’s candy bar were kindof a hit with us.
Being a very special occasion I figured I would pull out a dress that I had been saving for long enough it’s kinda considered vintage by now. This little Tom Ford number finally got a chance to go out, and though she was a little warm, she had a great time dancing her sequins off to Mr. Worldwide, if I do say so myself. All in all this night felt like a dream, and we had un unbelievable time celebrating a great cause.
It went down, I might even have yelled timber…

TGIF my little chickens! Another week has come and gone, and so much has happened, I can barely wrap my mind around it all. We had a wonderful weekend after posting our new EATS section, followed by a very scary and dramatic week, which thankfully is now technically coming to an end. Family is everything to Peter and myself, so when our loved ones face a crisis we tend to take over. Helplessness is not a pleasant feeling, therefore doing everything in our power to better the situation has been our priority these past days. I know everything I’m saying is annoyingly vague, but no matter how personal I get writing this blog, I’m simply not the type of lady to posts the tough stuff as my Facebook status, and this is no different. For now, we are concentrating on creating solutions, and trying to prepare all we can before our departure from Miami. There is nothing like seeing a stubborn person, finally seeing the benefits of changing a negative behaviour. Now all I can hope for is that this new change lasts, even when we’re not there to guide and oversee it.
We decided to go away this weekend as a kind of trial run, and head up to this new place I’ve heard of called Walt Disney World. We’ve been pretty down lately and apparently this location is assured to create happiness, so it should be just what the doctor ordered. My crisis philosophy of “keep calm and head to Disney”, will be in full swing on Insta all weekend, and though I’m horribly worried to leave the big kids I call my parents alone, I know it’ll need to happen sooner or later and am confident they can handle it without us. I apologize for a serious and obnoxiously nonspecific post, but promise my sailor mouth and dry wit will be back next week. Until then I have a trouser-wearing mouse to go visit, and I heard he has pretty good food in his kingdom. Who knows, maybe we’ll tell you guys about it…
