Sometimes life is really good. The sun rises on another beautiful day, happiness is omnipresent, you feel strong and powerful, balance is attained, and a perfectly pleasing routine falls into place. Things get done, you feel in control, and you start thinking that maybe you’ve finally realized how everybody else has been doing it all along.
Then suddenly something happens. Something you never saw coming. Something your not sure how to react to, let alone adequately handle. It shakes you. Makes you existentially confused. Makes you wonder if this balance you strived for, for so long, ever meant anything in the first place. You start to question the hierarchy of the important things in your life. Were you doing it right to begin with? Did you really need all this structure to feel like you had got your life together or was the freedom and impulsivity of your previous nature what you should be aiming for.
What kind of life do you want to lead? What kind of life is most fulfilled? One thing is certain…make it happy. Make it full of love and moments that live on forever. Make it so when you look back the joy overtakes the sorrow in every instance, that the highs are more meaningful then the lows, that the silver linings always take centre stage. Some of us don’t have the privilege of seeing a silver lining. Of not looking back in anger. Of seeing the sun rise on another beautiful day. So lets live it in their honour. As the lucky ones…

Happy Sunday my little chickens! I trust your weekend was eventful, and that if it wasn’t it was all kinds of Netflix and chill. Like literally though, no weird frisky connotation meant. I’ve been having a little too much fun, which is leading me to be a little extra exhausted, but complaining about that would be beyond a first world problem, so I ain’t gonna do that. This week I thought we would celebrate all things Disney! As some of you may have noticed, I kinda like Mr. Mouse and all the magic his genius creator brought to god’s green earth or wtv, so it only feels appropriate to celebrate all the amazing things currently being birthed into the Disney verse!
First things first, a little Coach/Mickey collab dropped on Friday, and yes I was one of the psychos refreshing my browsers at midnight patiently awaiting for my money to be taken away from me, in exchange for anything with a mouse on it. Never thought I’d purchase a Coach bag post puberty, but I did. Two of them actually. Also the most highly anticipated sequel of my tweenage years finally graced us with it’s presence, and after 13 years, I finally got to Find Dory. Yes kids, that’s how long it’s been, we’re that old.
Oh and here’s a little last bit of news. A new Disneyland opened in main land China, with exclusive attractions and lands that have never been experience in any other themes park across the earth. So that’s kinds cool or wtv. I’m not mad that I can no longer say I’ve been to every single Magical Kingdom created by Disney in the entire fucking world including Tokyo Disney Sea. It’s fine. Don’t mind me as I cut this post short to go book tickets for Shanghai. Mickey, mama’s coming for ya!
I got ma’ mind on ma’ Mickey and ma’ Mickey on my bum

New York, New York
It’s already been a week since we left New York and all the chaos and magic its fashion week had to offer. Every occasion where we attend I become incredibly excited to view collections live, yet a little anxious due to the inevitable impending stress about to be imposed on my being. Alteration whatsup! This year was a little different thankfully, perhaps I’m becoming used to the process, but I’ve learned to give a little less of a fuck and stop taking the experience so seriously, and now it’s a ball!
The first show we got to attend was BCBG Max Azria in the new “main tents” at the Arc Skylight. After braving the rain and traffic, it was so lovely to be put in a sunny state of mind while viewing the collection which was somewhat reminiscent of what The Beach Boys’ wet dreams might have been like. Lana Del Rey’s High By The Beach, could not have been more perfectly picked as the collection’s theme song to accompany the tie-dyed knits and sweaters, intricate patchwork fabrics and richly textural embroideries all cut in easy silhouettes and layered in unexpected ways. As for colours; crisp whites, water-washed blues, golden yellows and shell pinks transitioned into pigment-dye indigo, henna and olive with touches of gold. Impossibly cool California beach vibes were present in every look, and being a fan of the bucket hat since my early 2s, I could not have been more pleased to see one on every model’s head.
My favourite look was a bit of a surprise even to me, as it consisted of women’s board shorts, which I had rarely seen “work” when translated to a feminine aesthetic…but man did it ever look so very fucking cool. I’ve always been attracted to menswear inspired anything. From tuxedos to Calvin tighty whities, I just feel most confident, cool, and effortless when dressed like one the boys, therefore these board shorts will deffs be in my closet come next spring. It was so great to see a brand which began my fashion awakening in my tween years, embrace the urban “So-Cal” aesthetic and surf/skate culture I have grown to worship and has become embedded in my every look. Don’t we all just want to be California girls?

Hi gang, happy Tuesday! I am currently at our country home being harassed incessantly by my family so I think ill keep this one short. You see, they have decided to fight about everything today so I must join in on the fun. Joy. Anywhoo, these images were captured of me in the wild, in my preferred habitat…Disney World. The Damien Hirst piece pictured on my shirt, is one of my favourite art works (no shit sherlock, right) so I was delighted that he collaborated with Marc Jacobs, so I could own a little part of it and support a good cause. The real deal has gone for £902,500 in the past, so ya…not going to be hanging on my wall anytime soon. Hope you have a wonderful day and that your close ones don’t exasperate the shit out of you like they are doing me.
