Happy weekend everyone! Peter and I have been on a prolonged vacation with the family and it has been all kinds of relaxing. Seriously, I’m so relaxed right now I am barely stressing about the fact that I am almost done my Masters diploma and still don’t have any job prospects…Oh, I spoke too fast, there it is again. Expectations are fun! All jokes aside it has been so good for us to spend some time with my parents, watch tons of Amy Schumer, and get really tanned and fat from our days’ anticipation revolving around our next meal. As much as I drink that green juice in the morning and go for that run…it still doesn’t outweigh the mountain of carbs sitting in my stomach being converted to fat. Is that even how that works? I failed bio in high school…I think that’s the class where we covered digestion. Anyways, on this particular day we went to Miami’s Design District to check how the area was coming along and to eat at Harry’s, our favourite pizza spot. Thankfully, these pictures were taken prior to hoovering my meal, as it doesn’t look nearly as cute covered in sauce. Sidenote: off the shoulder tops…real tough to eat in.
Constricting as shit
Christian Dior earrings, Ray Ban Clubmasters, Tibi top, vintage Levis shorts, Olympia-Le Tan Cinderella bag, Sydney Evan, David Yurman, and Cartier bracelets and watch, Jacquie Aiche rings, and Christian Louboutin “Costa Nada” sandals.
London Fashion Week Day 1 continued
LFW is hectic. Am I the only one that thinks 2-3 outfit changes a day is a little fucking excessive. If you’re going to do it, do it right I guess. Still stressful and unpleasant if you ask me. We headed home to prep for our second show, and I took out all the bells and whistles. After our first show I realized that “less is more” wasn’t in fact a fashion “guideline” the brits were aware of. So here I am, at the tents, wearing motherfuckin’ cat ears. I felt like a sailor scout, but like in a really good way. The Paul Costelloe presentation was something my vocabulary is not, somewhat elegant. The wonderful classic cuts, timeless prints in unexpected colours, paired with WTF booties and socks, absolutely satisfied my contradicting fashion quota. If there is something Mr. Costelloe knows how to do, it’s add a little spunk to garments you would wear to high tea or even church!…Well you know if you add a shirt under that open blazer. I featured some photos of my favourite looks from the show taken by my wonderful husband/photographer, Mr. Peter Reid. Two down four shows to go, unless we play hooky to shop and play around London, which *spoiler alert* we did…
Eugenia Kim hat (similar), vintage Gian Franco Ferre glasses, Dior “Mise-En-Dior” earrings, Zara necklace (similar) and skirt, Maison Seine Cara shirt, Current/Elliott denim shirt, Olympia Le Tan clutch (similar), Chanel J12 watch and ring, bracelets from Cartier (similar), David Yurman (similar), and Hermes, and Carmina wing tips (similar).
I finally had the occasion to sport one of my favourite looks from Alexander Wang’s Spring collection. I went a little overboard with this particular season from my favourite designer, and now pretty much own every piece I drooled over when presented on the runway last September. Such a fun take on branding, and not being so serious as far as the F word is concerned. F word being Fashion of course. Jeez a bunch of dirty mouths you must all have. Anyways more Wang Parental Advisory and pastels to be worn later on in the summer, but this is a great opening act. Now I’ve got a wedding to prep for, so g2g.
Outfit credits are a f***ing b***h to do
