Parrot Cay, Turks & Caicos
After missing our wedding brunch due to early morning sunrise watching, we spent the day at Donna Karan’s estate in the ocean with all of our beloved guests. We had to move the party to the pool after some party crashers took over our sea space…sharks, why did it have to be sharks. What started innocently enough, carried all the way through to our evening ‘s”Moroccan” themed BBQ, until the early hours. I should say ethnically vague themed BBQ, as with bongos and hookahs as part of the decor our Morocco was a little confused. After some heavy drinking and late night wedding cake eating it was time to call it a day…and like that our wedding weekend came to a close. It was truly the most magical couple of days Peter and I have ever shared, and we thank our loved ones for making the trip, their touching words and thoughtful gifts that made it, oh so ridiculously special for us. Love you all, and hope you’ve enjoyed these captured moments.

So as many of you may already know Canada is made up of 10 provinces, one of which is Quebec, where french is employed as a native tongue. I am French Canadian. This means I get ridiculed by the likes of television shows like “How I Met Your Mother” and have a nice french twang that the the French from France say they find charming then mock. It’s been hard for me you know…ok not really. After I caught on to this whole anglophone thing all was pie, AND I get to say I am bilingual, which apparently gets my some street cred in the professional world (yet to be experienced btw). Anyway, the capital of our great province, is unimaginatively named the same thing as the state itself, therefore last week I was in Quebec, Quebec visiting my family. I took advantage of this opportunity to showcase my francophone roots, pose next to some white and blue Fleur-de-lis flags, and hit up some souvenir stores for some prideful swag. That’s right all, I now own a T-shirt that says “J’men Calise!”. You curious?..Look it up!

New York Fashion Week
I apologies for my absence from the blogosphere this past weekend, I seem to have fallen a tad behind. I promised “the good stuff” and i’m afraid it took a little longer to deliver than anticipated. Here I am sharing my NYFW with you, while others have already traveled to the London and Milan weeks and have documented in a timely and relevant manner. You see the reason behind this, which I will use as my excuse is vey simple, I had to finish Downton Abbey….that and I ran a marathon, you know, the ushe. Back to the matter at hand. During our incredibly brief stint at NYFW we had the chance to go to the “tents” and shoot my #OOTD, turns out others were interested in what I was wearing as well. The last time strangers took this much interest in photographing me I was in China, which apparently when blonde, and not all that asian, is a common occurrence. Street style photography is probably my favourite thing to look through as fashion week season goes by, so to be unexpectedly worthy of documentation was pretty darn cool. Metaphorically speaking, to be considered one of the cheetahs during the course of this style safari in the concrete jungle, was kind of a highlight of our trip…and my life.
