The Donkey Path

2014-06-05 at 12-04-07 Santorini, Greece

Towards the end of our honeymoon the sun had finally arrived and we truly started enjoying our stay on this wonderful island even more. We decided to finally try “Sunset” restaurant, the most coveted and romantic spot to dine at in all of Santorini. And that is where our adventure began. You see all we knew was that it was in Oia, and because there are no drivable roads within the town we assumed we would just walk around and find our way as we always do. After being unsuccessful at locating it, we asked a local where we should head, and the nice greek man just told us to continue heading down. So we followed instruction…Boy did we not know what we were in for. In Oia, Donkeys utilize a path made up of steps all the way down the cliff to the water, turns out that was the way to our romantic dinner. And donkeys shit A LOT. It took us 25 minutes to walk down the cliff steps while avoiding the donkey crap, like some sort of sick obstacle course. Best part being, i wore a beautiful white maxi dress. I swore like a sailor the entire way down. I still thank god to this day that I did not wear wedges or heels, that definitely would have added a level of difficulty I was not ready for. When we arrived we did have a lovely dinner and definitely cabbed back up the mountain. The shit steps of death would simply have been too challenging in the dark, not ready for that expert level yet. 2014-06-05 at 12-02-29 2014-06-05 at 12-05-56 2014-06-05 at 12-02-48 2014-06-05 at 12-10-38 2014-06-05 at 12-02-54 2014-06-05 at 12-08-21 2014-06-05 at 12-06-13 2014-06-05 at 12-04-05 2014-06-05 at 12-05-10 2014-06-05 at 12-03-22 2014-06-05 at 12-06-03 2014-06-05 at 12-04-41 2014-06-05 at 12-04-09 (1) So peaceful before I knew what was coming

A Canadian girl in Paris: Part Une

2014-05-26 at 13-41-08 Paris, France

For the past month or so you have followed the events, that I deem the most important of my life. I strayed from the blog’s original concept so I could share it all with you, but now it’s time to get back to our roots with an #OOTD, and what better place to do it then Paris. After becoming his Mrs. we jetted away to the city of lights with a pretty severe hangover, and became honeymooners. On our way to Paris, I had the incredible pleasure of speaking to Mr. Christian Louboutin, on our Air France flight from Miami. After sharing with him that I had worn his white Impera a few days before for our rehearsal dinner, he wished us a happy life together and I had to document this momentous meeting at 10,000 feet. We spoke until the flight attendant asked him to return to his seat and the rest is history. Perfect moments like these make me believe in fate. When we finally arrived in the city of love we bumped into lady Eiffel, she photobombed quite a bit during our stay, as she did during this first evening out together. It was time to explore and better yet…eat! 2014-05-26 at 13-33-27 2014-05-26 at 13-26-09 2014-05-26 at 13-28-21 2014-05-26 at 13-30-51 2014-05-26 at 13-24-34 2014-05-26 at 13-24-54 2014-05-26 at 13-31-37 2014-05-26 at 13-25-13 2014-05-26 at 13-28-44 2014-05-26 at 13-25-34 2014-05-26 at 13-28-11 The return of #OOTD

The Farewell BBQ

After missing our wedding brunch due to early morning sunrise watching, we spent the day at Donna Karan’s estate in the ocean with all of our beloved guests. We had to move the party to the pool after some party crashers took over our sea space…sharks, why did it have to be sharks. What started innocently enough, carried all the way through to our evening ‘s”Moroccan” themed BBQ, until the early hours. I should say ethnically vague themed BBQ, as with bongos and hookahs as part of the decor our Morocco was a little confused. After some heavy drinking and late night wedding cake eating it was time to call it a day…and like that our wedding weekend came to a close. It was truly the most magical couple of days Peter and I have ever shared, and we thank our loved ones for making the trip, their touching words and thoughtful gifts that made it, oh so ridiculously special for us. Love you all, and hope you’ve enjoyed these captured moments. 137JOY_FAVORITES_CP 0307CLAUDE_PETER 0301CLAUDE_PETER 0305CLAUDE_PETER 140JOY_FAVORITES_CP 142JOY_FAVORITES_CP 139JOY_FAVORITES_CP 0328CLAUDE_PETER 0339CLAUDE_PETER 0357CLAUDE_PETER 0343CLAUDE_PETER 0361CLAUDE_PETER 0367CLAUDE_PETER 0370CLAUDE_PETER Our Last Day
