Happy humpday everyone. Where do I even begin. Work has taken over my life, my relationship, and my eating time, and I’m not so thrilled about it. Aside from the quality minutes I save to watch Black Mirror on Netflix, I fear I have given up all my free time. I went on the master cleanse yesterday and actually enjoyed it because it meant I didn’t have to schedule time to eat. Who am I? I don’t even know how it happened. Sure with YouTube, planning for fashion week and rearranging my life in general, I guess it makes sense I’ve lost the lunch/recess period of the school day, but it kind of made me realize how valuable that time was.
I miss spending time with my husband in a non professional setting, and having time to chit chat about stuff other than the video being released next Wednesday on the channel, or the new WERKS website (that’s his company btw). I guess that’s the not so fun part about working with your best friend. I spend so much time scheduling, you’d think I’d put a little bit of quality time aside for the most important gentleman in my life. So I’ve decided to take a break from the shop talk, and go back to the baby talk that used to make our friends feel nauseous whenever they were around us. We’re going back to the Justin and Britney days of our relationship, so don’t be alarmed if you see us in matching denim looks on Instagram. Just kidding, he’d never go for it…or would he?…. Until then, here I am, solo in denim, with my curly haired boy bander behind the camera. Did I just take this metaphor/comparison thing too far? Anywhoo, I wish you all a wonderful rest of the week, that includes loads of free time to spend with the ones you love…Even if they won’t wear matching denim ensembles with you.

Sometimes it feels inappropriate or out of place to go on living my usual routine and publishing work, when it feels so futile in comparison to the chaos of the world around us. I love what I do and find it brings me joy and serves a purpose bigger then the way the job title shallowly depicts it, but it’s feeling extra trivial today. So instead of going on a spiel about how cozy I was in my fluffy pink jacket, I ask you to take this time to educate yourself about how you can contribute. Sharing scary headlines on our Facebook feeds, and posting outraged statuses to our friends and followers, is actually a good start. Raising awareness and humanizing these issues is a big part of it, but what else can WE, as individuals, do to help. That’s what I’m doing today and I implore you to do the same. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like feeling powerless to changes that are affecting the people closest to me, so I’m going find a way to get my power back. Until then, remember to always love, and be kind to one another. Anger and hatred is what brought us here in the first place.

If you know anything about me, you know that I live and breathe for all things Disney. Actually, I also eat, sleep, and dream Disney, and have been doing so since my toddler days watching The Lion King in my footsie pyjamas, and having the time of my life in the parks living large sitting on my fathers shoulders to watch the castle show. So, you can only imagine my stupendous enthusiasm, when I was invited to join the Disney family as a Disney Style contributor. Am I saying Disney too much? DISNEY DISNEY DISNEY! I’m sorry…I’m excited. I thought I would take a second to underline this dream come true collaboration with my favourite Mouse, by sharing an #OOTD from our day in Disneyland Paris this past September. We had to visit our friend Remy’s new restaurant and ride while in the city of lights, and try his famous ratatouille of course (…it made me believe in vegetables again). It was a perfect park day with the people I love, reminiscent on the ones I had as a little one, and we made memories I’m going to remember for a very long time. I may not have ridden on my father’s shoulders this time, but being there all together, made for a pretty magical day. Make sure to check out Disney Style for all your Disney fashion tips, news, and ideas, and to see all the fun park/street style I muster up! See ya’ real soon!

Happy humpday kids! Nothing screams Wednesday quite as much as dressing inappropriately for the weather and riding in a tiny clown car with no AC all over Rome, am I right? So I thought what better time than now, to share our adventures in the eternal city with you today. All jokes, aside this day visiting Rome was the most surreal and wonderful experience I’ve ever had traveling. I felt transported back in time, and Hepburn-esque riding in these adorable death machines. Sidenote, I say Hepburn”esque” because we all know Miss Audrey wasn’t one to show as much cleave’ and navel, but slutty little me is apparently.
From the Coloseum to the the Knights of Malta keyhole, we saw it all, as this was only the beginning of what became the tourist adventure of a lifetime. I can’t spoil all the good stuff from the rest of the trip yet, but let’s just say, you’ll be getting more island vibes from the #OOTD from our next stop. Until then, behold my swassy self, not letting them beads of sweat get me down, and having the time of my life.
Note to self: STOP telling people how sweaty you always are…it ain’t cute.
