Desert Dusking
Indio, California
Hey fwiends! Sorry I've been a little MIA lately, but all this long awaited free time has made me pick up old hobbies I love, and they've been keeping me happily busy! Don't worry it's not squash. I'm here today to tell you all about the final day of Coachella, which might just have been the best one yet. We went to the grounds early before anyone really shows up, not to enjoy the scenery, but to eat. After I got that taken care of, we walked around, had some morning margaritas, ate a little more and headed back to our place for an outfit change, followed by this middle of butt fuck nowhere #OOTD shoot. I mean when you're in the desert, you have to venture out into the unknown you know? Also it makes for a pretty beautiful badass background (alliteration watsup!). We then returned to the festival for a pretty great evening line up.
We felt connected to the universe and cried a little while singing along to "Home" at Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, and did what can only be described as african tribe inspired dance moves with Alexander Wang and his model army during Major Lazer. The sleeper hit of the weekend had to be Sia. That set was the most creative use of stage time I've seen at Coachella and maybe anywhere really. Because she's always hiding her pretty face, actors, artists, and dancers interpreted every song from her repertoire (including Breathe Me, I cried a little for that too) in the most beautifully WTF kinda ways. Maddie Ziegler did some pirouettes, Kristen Wiig emoted, and Shia Labeouf didn't show up. Typical. Calvin Harris then came out and put on a better show than I could have ever anticipated. Big Sean said hi, and then Rihanna came out and gave the the rendition of We Found Love I had always dreamed of witnessing. Honestly it was another solid night added to an unbelievably solid weekend! Coachella always has the greatest energy and you leave there feeling warm with hope and appreciation for the world we live in. Well, that and super fucking tired. Drinking and dancing for 3 days straight will do that to you.
Fack boho I'm giving alien vibes
