Gandalf is my Homeboy
I hope all of you had happy holidays, and weigh 6-9 pounds more then you did before the this turkey season began! Not because I wish ill upon any of you, but rather because if I put on the weight, I need you all to do the same to continue the illusion that nothing has changed...you feel me? I'm only trying to maintain the balance of mankind, pretty serious business. So, post family fun, gifts, and Christmas carols, my husband and I began a pretty intense journey. You see we revistied the world of middle earth, and began with Bilbo's very first adventure, or if we are talking timeline, I mean history goes back to when the elves first awakened in Cuiviéne! If you don't know what I'm talking about, really, don't bother continuing on, because I am about to rock out with my nerd out. I am big on the whole Tolken universe, what can I say, I love me some courageous hobbits. We have been watching the Hobbit films followed by The Lord of The Rings films in chronological order, while trying to get some reading of the source material when a screen is out of reach. We also made time to watch Peter Jackson's appendices for each film of course! Have I mentioned individual appendices are 4-5 hours long and there are two for each of the six films. Do the math...basically I've been staring at Orlando Bloom in a wig for five days straight without sleeping. I'm a little brainwashed to say the least. The few people I have seen since beginning this marathon, I cannot help but attribute to a kind from Middle-earth. My daddy is a hobbit, while my husband who was originally a man, is beginning to resemble a dwarf due to the extreme ginge facial hair he's been growing. Kinda feel like I've been spending a little too much time in Mirkwood if you know what I mean...of course you don't, you have a life.I'm totes an Elf with like Galadriel level power..or a Wizard, I'm down to be a Wizard
