I Don't Pop Anything Cuz I'm Old
Bal Harbour Shops, Florida
To celebrate Bal Harbour Shops’ 50th anniversary and The Miami Project’s 30th anniversary we had the great pleasure of attending Destination Fashion 2016 benefiting The Buoniconti Fund to Cure Paralysis. Approximately 12,500 new traumatic spinal cord injuries occur each year in the USA, from motor vehicle crashes, to acts in violence and this wonderful evening raised millions for paralysis research in one night alone! Fair to say we couldn't have been more proud to be in attendance, and witness this incredible philanthropic achievement.
Not only was the event in support of a great cause, but it did so in BA-NA-NAS fashion. Treating more than 2000 of its friends and supporters to a star-studded extravaganza highlighted by a concert by my favourite Miami native Pitbull himself, and a fashion show for Brunello Cucinelli’s Spring 2016 Collection, it truly was a night to remember. We traveled through the progressive party that showcased the fashion trends, movies, television and entertainment through the Decades-60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. Also, If you know my husband and I at all, you can imagine that the themed fair from cocktails at Studio 54, to Willy Wonka's candy bar were kindof a hit with us.
Being a very special occasion I figured I would pull out a dress that I had been saving for long enough it's kinda considered vintage by now. This little Tom Ford number finally got a chance to go out, and though she was a little warm, she had a great time dancing her sequins off to Mr. Worldwide, if I do say so myself. All in all this night felt like a dream, and we had un unbelievable time celebrating a great cause.
It went down, I might even have yelled timber...
Deux Lionschoker, Tom Ford dress, Chanel bag, and Manolo Blank "Chaos" sandals.
