Marchesa Spring/ Summer 2015
The day is finally here folks...my last London Fashion Week post has arrived. Saved the best for last too! The ladies at Marchesa are my absolute favourite red carpet designers of all time. I'm sorry Mr. De La Renta and Charles James, but their use of fringe, lace, embroidery, beading, and all the good stuff, brings that dreamlike whimsy I can never get enough of. For the brand's 10th anniversary they brought out all the stops. Not only did they master my favourite aesthetic, but took on my ultimate fashion inspiration...Woodstock. What do you get when you mix two things you absolutely adore and view the product of that collaboration...not to quote Rachel Zoe, but I DIE, legitimately just died. The tulle, the flowers, this rock-'n'-roll gypsy fantasy transported me to another place even more beautiful then the Banqueting House on Whitehall, where the show took place. This was a magical night, and I was so thankful to be in a room full of people that have inspired me so much over the years. The #OOTD you see, is actually what I wore to the after party, as I was wearing the white Givenchy lace suit I previously posted to the show. The photo quality was not great as just took a few quick pictures before heading out, but I hope the gorgeous images from the show make up for it! Thank you Karen and Georgina, for the fun, for the glamour, and for that pink tulle masterpiece.A Canadian Wang Girl In London
