Open Festival Season

Indio, California

The time has come my little chickens! Festival season is in full bloom and I'm here to bombard you with all of it's wonder and magicalness. We had the lovely pleasure of attending Coachella once again this year, and it truly was a weekend to remember. From epic desert dusks to spotting every fairy featured supermodel I've ever dreamed of looking like, it was picturesque to say the least. Because the festival was in fact a three day long event, I will be sharing all three silly #OOTDs I pieced together for the eclectic occasion, and today marks numero uno.

Having knowingly rented a convertible for our time in California, I was partly thrilled and mortified to see my husband roll up in a banana yellow mustang to drive down to the desert. Several hours of sunburns, sandstorms and embarrassment later we finally arrived to the festival, and it was just like I remembered it, but overpopulated with famous people. Last year we attended the second weekend of Coachella, which I guess is less celebrity friendly, as this first weekend seemed to be some sort of convention for people that make me nervous. After spotting Aaron Paul, Daphne Groeneveld, and Zoe Kravitz during my first four minutes on the grounds, I became friendly with the margarita booth and my anxiety seem to subside rather quickly. Here's the rule, don't go up to them, and more importantly don't later have FOMO for not going up to them. We lived by this all weekend long, and had a great time admiring these creatures in their natural habitat. Pretty sure Coachella is more LA than LA is.

I'm not sure if any of you know this, but I quite like food. In fact I booked this Coachella trip, while on day 6 of my 10 day Master Cleanse last year, simply to attend to a grilled cheese craving from one of the festival's food trucks. When I bit into that sandwich, boy oh boy did I hear the hark angel sing. As for the music, well, we weren't originally thrilled with the lineup this year, Guns'N'Roses excluded, but we discovered some new folks and danced to some known folks, that made us rethink our original apprehension. From girl grooving to Ellie Goulding, and having a total existential moment during M83, our first night was a Coachelluccess! Ya, let's forget that "pun" happened. Highlight for me, aside from the grilled cheese, had to be the song I shared with you folks below...K, now go listen to it! BYYYYYYYYE.

Daisy freckles folks! You saw them here first!
